Across the 20+ years of his career as an actor, Paul-William Mawhinney has worked in; film, theatre, television, radio, animation and video games. Based in London, Paul-William trained at the Australian National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA, Sydney, 2005-2007).

Paul-William began his training in Performance for Motion Capture in 2015 with The Mocap Vaults in London, UK. He completed their training syllabus in 2016, by which time he had already finished his first 2 professional Motion Capture jobs, both AAA video game titles. To date, he now has more than 20 Motion Capture titles under his belt, including 9 AAA video games, short films and a feature film, several including Full-Performance Capture (Body, Face and Voice being captured).
Paul-William has since been asked to join the teaching staff of The Mocap Vaults, and has taught Performance for Motion Capture workshops across the country at some of the leading training institutes around the world, including; Bristol Old Vic Theatre School (UK), Drama Studio London (UK), East 15 (UK), Filmakademie (Germany) and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (Australia).
More recently, Paul-William has also been invited to begin working with game developers in different capacities, both as a games writer and as an assistant director and performance advisor on Motion Capture shoots.

His love of accents, dialects and creating character voices combined with his passion for storytelling, has found him work in the video games industry as well as voicing animated characters.

Paul-William has been working as a Voice-Over Artist since 2007 and has voiced commercials, video game character voices, audio books, instructional videos and English language training programmes.
He has worked with clients such as; Amazon, American Express, Argos, Afterpay, Booking.com, Cambridge University and the Australian New South Wales Government.

Paul-William began his career in performing arts by getting involved with one of his local community theatre groups at the age of 15. Since then he has enjoyed many different avenues of performance.
In 2005 Paul-William was accepted into Australia's illustrious National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA, Sydney), where he completed his BA majoring in Acting in 2007.
To date, Paul-William Mawhinney has performed in projects across theatre, film, television, animation, virtual reality, video games, e-learning and other educational media.
